Oddernes parsonage in Kristiansand will be transferred to the Church of Norway. It is located close to Oddernes Medieval Church,

This also marks that Allstad’s role as a landowner and active developer will become even clearer, and that the company’s ownership governance will be transferred to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.

The division project with the Church of Norway is nearing completion and has been carried out in two phases. During the first phase, extensive work was undertaken to select which properties would be transferred to the Church. During the second phase of the project, the work has consisted of facilitating the transfer of the properties identified during the first phase.

To manage the properties they receive, the Church will receive NOK 1.3 billion from Allstad. Half of the amount will be transferred to the Church now, and the other half will be paid out in 2027. During 2025, the remaining up to 22 properties are planned to be transferred. In addition to parsonages and garages, three commercial properties will be transferred from Allstad to the Church in November.

Allstad with a clearer commercial mandate

In addition to the just over one hundred vicarages that remain in Allstad’s portfolio, Allstad will retain large areas, such as farmland and forests, at most of the vicarages where the Church takes over the residence and garage.

Going forward, Allstad will manage and develop vicarage properties as a commercial real estate operator. Many of the properties have significant national cultural and historical value, and we will preserve this heritage while creating new value. Allstad develops commercial buildings, new places to live and meeting places that enrich neighbourhoods.
