Allstad is wholly owned by the state through the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, with properties in nearly 300 of the country's municipalities that have historically been associated with the parsonages in Norway. We also have more recently acquired land. 

Here, we can build attractive and cost-effective assisted living homes, day activity centres and staff bases as part of local development in municipalities across the country – at a lower cost compared with traditional development without grants and VAT compensation. 

The municipality does not need to take out a single loan. Instead, Samfond can purchase the project and lease it back to the municipality. This allows the municipality to avoid the risk of investing in and owning the buildings itself.

Allstad handles the conclusion of a lease agreement with Samfond, which offers long-term and secure leasing agreements that form the basis for the rental level Samfond can offer the municipality. This enables municipalities to lease assisted living homes instead of investing in and owning the buildings.  

Samfond can offer the municipality flexibility, for example through a buyback option.
