As the landowner, Allstad has worked to have parts of the vicarage estate converted into a development area in the municipal land-use plan, creating opportunities to build around one hundred student housing units here.

Bernt Nordby Skøien, Director of Allstad Eiendom, is very pleased with the development. - The project is an important step towards meeting the considerable need for student housing. We have had a good dialogue with Trondheim Municipality since our first meeting in 2023, and it is clear that this will address a significant need. The Student Welfare Organisation in Trondheim, represented by Arvid Eriksen Skjervik, is our partner in this process. So is the Christian student association, which currently has a lease agreement for the property and has provided valuable input along the way, says Nordby Skøien. MDH Arkitekter has carried out the feasibility study.

Allstad hopes to realise a proposal on the property that preserves the vicarage and creates a beautiful residential and meeting place in green surroundings in an established neighbourhood. - Here, we want to create communal spaces for recreation and activities for children, young people, students and older residents alike, Bernt Nordby Skøien concludes.
