Guidelines for Applying for Big Game Hunting
Would you like to apply to lease big game hunting from Allstad? Read the guidelines below before clicking the button and proceeding to the Inatur sales portal!
We are continuously working to publish new areas as previous lease agreements expire. Therefore, it is worthwhile to check in from time to time to see what is available.
1. Norwegian citizens
The hunting party shall primarily consist of Norwegian citizens, and anyone who has been resident in Norway during the past year and continues to reside in Norway may be part of a hunting party applying to be allocated big game hunting.
2. Hunting leader
The hunting party shall have a responsible hunting leader (a Norwegian citizen) and a responsible deputy hunting leader appointed by the hunting leader. The hunting leader is Allstad's contact person for the hunting party and the person who will receive the invoice and be held responsible for payment. The hunting leader shall remain in place throughout the hunting period, but the deputy hunting leader may take over when necessary. Apart from this, no changes may be made without Allstad's written consent. The hunting leader should have completed a hunting leader course.
3. Hunting leader and hunters
To apply for big game hunting with Allstad, the hunting leader must, on behalf of the entire hunting party, register as a customer with Inatur using a valid name, mobile phone number, email address, street address and postal code, municipality of residence, date of birth and hunter number. Corresponding information, including hunter number, must be registered for all hunters in the hunting party. The hunting leader is responsible for registering all hunters. Failure to register correct information for all hunters in the party means that the application is invalid and may be rejected.
When entering into a contract on behalf of the hunting party, the hunting leader consents to the publication of the hunting leader's personal data, such as name and mobile phone number, on Allstad's public websites. This is necessary contact information for other hunting leaders, game wardens and public authorities.
4. Replacement of hunters in the hunting party
The hunting party must hunt with the hunting party listed in the application. Changes to the members of the hunting party require written notification to Allstad through the local manager.
5. Only one hunting field per hunting party – only one hunting field on state land
Unless otherwise agreed, a hunting party may lease only one hunting field from Allstad. This does not prevent the party from leasing another hunting field to hunt another species during the same period/year.
A hunting party may not lease big game hunting from Allstad if it already leases big game hunting from Statskog.
6. Private individuals and hunting and fishing organisations may apply for big game hunting
Both private individuals and hunting and fishing organisations may apply for big game hunting. Subletting is generally not permitted without Allstad's written consent.
7. Advertised hunting fields are open to everyone
Anyone may apply for any advertised hunting field/hunting opportunity. Allstad may choose to divide the hunting period between several hunting parties during the hunting season in order to give more hunters access to hunting. Any division of the hunting period will be stated in the advertisement on Inatur.
For hunting fields/hunting opportunities advertised as available to local residents, local hunting parties have priority. Non-local hunting parties may be allocated such fields if no local applicants have applied/if there is availability.
A hunting party is considered local if at least half of its members, including the hunting leader, are registered as residents in the National Population Register in the relevant municipality when the application deadline expires. (For hunting fields covering several municipalities, residents of all the municipalities are considered local residents.)
To apply to lease big game hunting from Allstad, interested parties must search for “Allstad” at www.inatur.no
8. Drawing of hunting fields/Division of hunting fields
Hunting fields are allocated by drawing lots among the qualified hunting parties that applied by the stipulated deadline.
Only the lessee who is awarded a contract will be informed of the allocation. Other applicants must check the website for the allocation status.
9. Price and duration
Big game hunting is leased at the local market price. The contract period is usually 3–5 years.
10. Payment of the basic fee and hunting fee, and reporting
The basic fee, which is based on the local market price, shall be paid when the contract is entered into. The basic fee paid will be deducted from the final settlement for the animal harvested (animals harvested and reported against the basic quota). Final invoicing takes place after the report has been submitted to Allstad. Harvested animals must be reported within three days of the kill. Reporting is done by SMS or email directly to the local manager.
The lease amount is stated in the advertisement and is based on the local market price.
11. Exclusion from hunting following a final judgment
Anyone who, during the past five years, has been finally convicted or has accepted a penalty notice for violating wildlife legislation and associated regulations may be excluded from big game hunting on Allstad's properties.
Please note that breaches of the terms, including failure to complete the application or completing it incorrectly, may result in the rejection of both the application and future applications.
12. Hunting contracts entered into with Allstad run until the end of the contract
Hunting contracts already entered into with Allstad run until their respective end dates. They will not be terminated. Agreements without an end date but which may be terminated with 6–12 months' notice will normally be terminated for re-leasing on Inatur.
