Neighbor notification and neighbor declaration

In connection with building applications and the subdivision of property, a written neighbor notification must be submitted. When the neighboring property is a leased plot, the neighbor notification must be sent to both the landowner and the leaseholder. Some measures also require written consent from Allstad in the form of a neighbor declaration.

A neighbor declaration is written consent from Allstad. You must apply for this when carrying out measures that deviate from the statutory requirement of a four-meter distance to the common property boundary. When you apply for a neighbor declaration, the form will ask for the information we need in our assessment. It is important that you attach a map clearly showing the distance to the common property boundary. At a minimum, you will have to pay an administrative fee.
