Today, OVF is a wholly state-owned enterprise. Ensuring that older people and others in need of care have suitable housing so that they can live at home is a major challenge. Often, their current home is unsuitable, and in rural areas it is frequently located far from essential services. In cooperation with relevant municipalities, OVF is assessing which of the foundation’s properties may be suitable for the construction of new assisted living homes.

Grimstad Municipality and Hommedal School Farm have, in cooperation with the research institute NORCE, carried out a research project over the past two years aimed at gaining knowledge about the students’ experiences with the educational programme at the former rectory.
