Nord-Fron Parsonage
As it was not considered practical to renovate the old parsonage in the 1970s, it was decided to build a new one. The two-storey parsonage in Vinstra was designed by architect Arnold Hoff in 1974. It was built as the parson’s official residence. This meant that it had a separate entrance to the parson’s office, with a waiting room and its own WC. In the basement, provision was made for a meeting room for confirmation classes and parish meetings.

Norderhov Vicarage
Norderhov Vicarage was built in the late 1950s by architect Hans Magnus. He was affiliated with the Ministry of Church Affairs and designed several single-storey vicarages throughout the country, of which Norderhov Vicarage was the first. The vicarage is located on the same property as the old rectory, on one of the crofts. The old Norderhov Rectory now houses Ringerike Museum.
Norderhov is an old church site which, in 1716, during the Great Northern War, came into the dramatic spotlight when Swedish dragoons unexpectedly arrived at the rectory, and the vicar’s wife Anna Colbjørnsdatter saved the situation through her quick thinking. The Swedes were overpowered and the Swedish colonel was taken prisoner.
